This is the subcuticular closure before and after closure.

The patient had a fractured radius, the green thing is a titanium plate that I designed. It is holding the bones in place so that they can heal properly. I have closed a muscle over the plate, to help prevent tendon injury. The round gold objects are the screws holding the plate to the bone. Note how healthy the final incision is, especially compared to the picture above. Now you are beginning to understand why I do a subcuticular closure: it takes awful to beautiful in ten minutes, and all the patient sees is beautiful.
