Bill had great success in both of his hunts (click left for mag view).	Bill took this at only 15 yards with a Rem. Model 7 .300 SAUM, (think he was under-gunned?)

This tombstone is on the north side of Bird Gulch.
According to Charlie, many settlers took advantage of free homesteading land in the area,
tried farming, but the winters killed some and drove the rest out.
