I got up at 5:30 am, awakened by Craig's hollering and tent shaking. Frost on the ground. Craig suggested that I try one of the peninsulas between camp and Lost Ridge. I really did not want to try Waterfall Canyon, as it had been quite barren in my previous trips, so I thought I would give it a try. I drove out to the Washout, then angled away from Waterfall.
